We have been looking at getting a decent sized permenate fishouse on Mille Lacs and would like to use it year round at a resort. Question being what are some options resort wise and where is a good spot to find a house? Been lookin g and have only seen a couple. 
Craigslist has a lot for sale on there.
I personally had one at the Red Door for 5 years and have friends that have been their for over 10. It depends what you are lookin for. Red Door is family friendly . In their fish house park you actually get your own little lot. We used it like a cabin.

I basically grew up at Fishermans Wharf. Not sure what it is like now, but spent almost every weekend summer and winter there until my parents bought the place on Big Point when I was 12. Still hung out there afterward though as I had friends there.

Hunter’s Point is well run. There are certain parts that party and parts that go to bed early and fish hard. Depends on where you put your house. There are many good resorts on the lake.
And if you stay in the middle of the groups you can do both.
