Prescott had a good story re the dog and kid search on the 4th, but less than a mile away, my friend was balancing reality.

Stuck his head in front of a propane grill while lighting. I haven’t seen the damages, but it put him in the hospital the 4th and 5th.

    Careful folks.

I hope he is OK. I don’t suppose you have the details, but I turn the gas on for no longer than 5 seconds. No ignition, I turn the burners to off and wait half a minute.

for all my friends…. use this when starting fires. Start the lighter first, hold in hole under gas grill (they all have them) then turn on the gas

There would be no need for a match or a lighter if those darn push button ignitors would work for more than a month. I replaced mine twice before I gave up. They are one of the few things in life less reliable than boat trailer lights.

8th year on the Webber with the Original ignitor. I don’t want to know how many times that button has been pushed. I must be one of the lucky one’s

Them push button ignitors work much better if they’re kept clean, might make it through a summer then…

I got one of these where the long part can be bent into any shape. Works great as I can get the tip easily right next to the burners and it ignites right away.

They are generally one of the more reliable parts in the gas fireplaces we sell. Would assume the same for gas grills too, they are however subjected to grease and rain/humidity outside which I am sure doesn’t help.

    G’s advice is very sound…

We’ll have to wait until Jesse signs in for an explanation to this photo.
