    need help finding frozen pigeons for dog training. I only need 3 or 4. located in north metro. Ive already checked c-list.

    My advice would be to go to the Hmong grocery stores and put a note up there. Should be able to get dozens literally. At least i used to do this…

    There is a farm near Princeton that raises game birds that you could call.

    Otherwise I’m back home at the farm this week and I can shoot a few and freeze them if you’d like. PM me if you’re interested.

    No one in our area freezes pigeons anymore. Just get some trigger-happy “sportsman” to leave his now-legal mourning doves lay outside for you on a cold night. The tree-huggers down the block say hunters just throw them away anyhow.

    Go to a Gun dog training facility and ask for some dead chuckers. They shoot many of these birds over dogs and just through them away. They will give them too you. I’ve gotten many over the years!

    Best idea yet! I don’t know any farmers that will say no, you cant shoot my pigeons. Not many of them like cleaning pigeon crap off their machinery.

    …So if you are a duck hunter,Go out in the country. And find a few places to hunt and or shoot pigeons. That alone can make for some great dog training.! If done right.? PIGEONS ARE BIG TIME SUCKERS FOR DECOYS.!! THAT MAKES ALOT OF FUN FOR YOU AND YOUR DOG. IF DONE RIGHT.!!!!! rrr
