Oh man. Thanks. I don’t know if this makes the rest of the summer go faster or slower!
I still can’t believe it. As a Minnesota sports fan we are used to low expectations and most people just took it for granted they would sign somewhere else, just to protect us from disappointment.
July 5, 2012 at 2:18 pm #1081260Not anymore than a normal 4th. Actually a little less. However when I saw the first “tweet” about it, I could not contain myself.
I think Michelle is just happy it is over with!

True. I think she wants me to get a cable box for the basement again so she can have a buffer for my yelling and cheering when she is watching TV in the living room.July 5, 2012 at 5:59 pm #1081338Star Tribune today said they had sold “hundreds” of season tickets already. So what does that translate into as far as dollars per ticket per year? I’m sure they have a average that a ticket buyer spends on concessions, jersey’s ect.
Also it was mentioned that the Wild have made the play-offs ONLY 3 TIMES in their history?
Life in the state of hockey is more interesting today, that’s for sure.

You were listening to Common Man weren’t you?
valentinetti0Posts: 1July 6, 2012 at 7:35 am #1081480I was listening to Lou Nanne on KFAN yesterday and he believes it’s a done deal. He made a very good point. Would he fly back to Minnesota to announce he is signing with Pittsburgh? Like you said though, I hope he doesn’t drop the bomb before hopping on the plane.

I was listening to the rebroadcast yes. I thought that bit was funny. I didnt realize they got there (her) money from windex. If that was true????
And none of you can tell me you wouldnt have to clear it with the wife to spend 196 millionJuly 6, 2012 at 1:20 pm #1081519Without looking it up I believe she is a heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune.
July 6, 2012 at 5:14 pm #10815898pm Monday FSN is having a roundtable show with Parise, Suter, Leipold, Fletcher and Yeo. Should be interesting to hear how it all went down.
The rest of the NHL can cry foul all they want. The contracts aren’t anything like what Kovalchuk did. There are similar contracts out there that the Wild followed. Kovalchuk, Richards and Myers.
I am sure Suter and Parise will be just fine adjusting their contracts if needed, which they won’t have to. They did not come here for the money.
