I’ve had it on a spinning reel for awhile, thought maybe I’d try adding a floro leader but not sure what knot to use. I use the Nano knot to attach jigs and hooks.

I have a couple crappie rods spooled with 4 pound and haven’t had any issues as yet, but I pretty much am vertical jigging with these rods. I like the sensitivity. One of my walleye jigging rods is filled with 6 pound.

I tie direct to the jigs and use no leader…haven’t felt as though I needed one.

I use the 6# on my ultra lite for crappies, trout, bass and walleye. I haven’t found a need for a leader. I’ve had very good luck tying everything direct using a palomar knot. Berkely recommends an albright knot for tying on a leader if desired.

I have tried the 6 lb. using Berkley’s suggested knot. The knot has held up but the line doesn’t hold up well in timber or on rocks with zebra mussels. I’ve also used it with 6 lb fluorocarbon leader using a double UNI knot to avoid the shredding problem.

I have 12 lb on a rod and love it.. No need for a leader yet. I have herd if you fish rocks a lot it’s not the best but everything else it’s just fine.
