i ordered 2 sets of 14’ers and 2 sets of 5’ers. I’ll report back. Price point also got me. At that price point, i’ll be watching the guides and the reel bases…

I ordered from Reed’s directly, free shipping $129.99

Picked mine up 2 weeks ago from Reeds and had em out for the first time today on Winnebago.

Great rod for pulling multiple boards and has the right length as well as action for pulling lead well.

I just wish they had a set of 12 footers at that price too!

The long rods arrived today, props to Reeds quick delivery! Let’s just say these are crazy long, Should be able to run a 34 foot wingspan. Gonna give them a whirl on the Croix this weekend and will report back. RK, shouldnt you be tossing double 10’s

my josh mitchell 14’ers arrived today, also.

i must admit having a rod where the BUTT section is as long as most of my WHOLE rod is a little weird, but…

general quality is fine. the wrapping is clean, the guides are glued correctly, the cork is of nice quality and the reel seat is of sufficient strength.

the only point i didn’t like is one of contention: i like two footed guides thru out an entire rod; these were mixed. the butt section was two footed, but the tip was nearly all one footed. I just bend them up and break them off so quick, i just prefer two footed. others contend that two footed guides stiffen the action and don’t like them.

anyway it was not something that you’d argue about for $65…

the 5’ers were baseball bats: nicely spec’d and well made. The foregrip was a double taper, but we can correct that on our grip sander. All two footed guides, one piece. Same reel seat.
