Fishing L.O.W.

We are going to L.O.W. the week of Sept.1. I hear lots of talk of frozen Emerald Shiners for Walleyes. We are staying on the Canadian side near Morson. I can buy live minnows and chubs there, plus we are taking crawlers. So far I have not found anyone that can supply live shiners to buy. Should we pick up some frozen ones in Baudette? Thanks.

If you are goin to get them in Baudette it might be worth the drive to Adrian’s Resort about 20 min north of town along the river. They freeze their shiners while they are still alive, everyone else that i know of freezes the dead ones. Don’t know why but they work twice as good as the ones frozen after their dead.
