Is highway 53 in Dulth passable?

    Traveling to Kabetogama Saturday, just wondering if I can get through Duluth, Superior on highway 53? Thanks.

    Yes but you will have to take the bong bridge across to get into Duluth. You cannot get into duluth via the blatnik (53) bridge due to road work. Take the highway 2 bridge across then get in the lane for 35 north and go 1 mile and get back onto 53

    I just came up from the Citys. I am in Tufte which is half way between Duluth and Grand Portage. I35 was clear all the way thorugh Duluth, had one 15 mile detour near Two Harbors. Other than that clear sailing. Going to go out to Isle Royal National Park tomorrow.

    Isn’t there always one lane open in either direction? I understood that it is just under normal construction, not shut down.
