I liked it better in the old days when the river just had a spring flood. I blame the internet.

I figured that fiendish Al Gore was probably behind all this meteorological mayhem.

my wife and i left the tofte area about 11:30am yesterday. started breaking camp about 15 minuets too late,as the rains started and had to pack up a few things wet. i had the wipers on from 9 mile lake campground to willow river.on the plus side, all the rivers were running from rains over the weekend, and there were some very good photo opps. sure am glad my wife had to work today, or we would still be there, as i don’t have to be anywhere until sunday. just saw that the duluth zoo is completely under water and a polar bear might be missing.

I had to rewatch to figure out what you were talking about. I guess the guy we were riding with must have a heavy foot…

    Pokegama is the plan.

Did you ever drop a line in the reservoir?

Fished today on Pokegama. Not a lot of fish… but I did boat some dandies. My best three today went 30.5″, 28″ and 27″. Plus a 4.5# smallie. All caught rigging red tails. The front really pushed the fish around but we managed to squeak out enough quality fish to make a good trip out of it.

Up in my neck of the woods. All that water definitely changed things. Glad to hear you got some good ones.

On my way up to Mora on Friday, all the creeks and rivers were higher than I have ever seen them. The Snake and Ann river looked very catty.
