Why does the WI DNR seem to come across as friendly and informative compared to MN?

I think people in MN are pissed off about all the dumb rules and how often you a reminded of the rules. I have been check 5 out of 6 times I have put in at Lake Pepin and hear the same thing. I have yet to see them in WI. Dumb rules: No boat plug, new water in vehicle for leeches and minnows, no water in coolers when arriving at landing just some of the rules.

Because they have been getting pounded on for all sorts of other things and are kind of getting the point from the public, “start being more user friendly!!!”

I come from a science background so I am always more likely to side with them from my education, not so many others though.

Both sides will be bitching when license sales are down after many decide it’s more trouble than it’s worth to fish.

    (that’s my future prediction)
