I would have loved to go since it’s been a while that I’ve seen the Blue Angles. Just can’t make it down.
I’ve wanted to see them since I was a wee boy. Didn’t know they were going to be so close.
Just so people know. there are going to be 2 shows. One on sat. and one on sunday. It starts at 11am on sat and goes till 4.

3rd guess…Mankato. My first two guesses didn’t count.
I am going and taking my 6 and 3 year old kids, but they won’t know where dad is taking them tomorrow morning. Only about an hour car ride for us. Can’t wait to see the looks on their faces when we arrive. My son, the three year old might explode in excitement.
I would bring ear plugs. Those jets were loud yesterday. I couldn’t even talk on the phone while in the office. I heard the other day that if they were going a little faster by here the windows would break.
i was at the St. Cloud air show last year, it was awesome! They also had the F-22 Raptor at the time (has since been grounded for mechanical issues) The blue angel sneak passes are wicked!
If you are bringing kids I would suggest ear muffs and not plugs. With Kids you don’t know if you get the plugs in all the way and they have no way to tell you if they are working plus they arent going to need them hole time. My two cents says ear muffs since that worked best for our kids. Have a fun time.
I went up with the Blue Angels Wednesday morning on a “media” ride. It was an incredible 50 minute ride! 7+Gs positive and over 2Gs negative. Burned 10,000 lbs of fuel in 50 minutes!
A little warm out there today, but the nice wind saved us today and the SPF 30 we troweled on. My son was way more impressed than my daughter, but we had a great time.
Very patriotic feeling at the show. Made me feel good about America and our men and women in uniform.
Thanks for posting LOL.
Those are some awesome pic. I’m guessing both your kids will remember this for a long time.

Welcome BTW that’s about 25 gpm…and they didn’t have the hammer down…
Thanks for the pictures. I have seen them at least a dozen times and ever time I still see them it sends chills down my spine. It is great to be an American.
It actually equates to about 29 gallons a minute. Jet fuel is lighter then water so 1 gallon equals about 6.8lbs. 1473 gallons in 50 minutes. You got to love burning fossil fuels like that to just have fun.
Yes it sure is! I check this forum for Rainy Lake updates. I go up there quite a bit. Headed up there this friday for a week. Can’t wait! I’ll be on with Mark Rosen tonight if you need proof! Ha!
They had 6 planes there but only 5 came back. Anyone know what happened to the 6th?
About half way or two thirds through the routine he landed and parked on the south end of the airstrip with plane number 7. We were standing down on that end. After the show a very large CAT front end loader headed over that way with red barrels in the bucket. Mechanical, maybe fuel? Be interesting to know though. I believe he was one of the soloists.
The number 6 soloist had a loose foreign object in his cockpit. He had to come down to have it removed. The Boss told him to just stay down…
