    I have a 99 suburban. Barn doors.
The secondary door latch appears to have internally disconnected from the hardware. I can’t open it. There is only one handle (inside door jam).
This handle doesn’t have any screws/bolts to remove.
How does one remove it so I can gain access to linkage?

I believe the inside door panel on the left door is removable and you gain access there,my first guess a plastic retainer clip probably broke.

If you can get the handle out of the way you should be able to crab the 2 rods and open the door. Should be one on the top and the other on the bottom of the opening.

You will probably need to get at the linkage from the inside of the door shell. There are plastic clips around the edge of the door panel (on the inside you cannot see them) pull straight towards you to get the panel off, some of them can be kinda tuff. Then look towards the handle and both latches to see what is broke. My guess is the latch has got gummed up or corroded over time causing to much friction that it could not handle.

just pull off the pannel right on the bottom on the corner where the latch is .. on the left pannel. there is a plastic clip that breaks. its a bunny to fix. because I watched a guy fix mine four years ago. in 30 seconds in a car parts parking lot. right after I bought the part inside of napa…
