Finally made it out again. Decided to search for some Crappie. Crappie are hard to find on this body of water, but once you do, it’s well worth your effort.
Caught dozens of them. None under 13″. Largest was pushing 16″. Released all but 5. Also had good luck with the Eyes & couldn’t keep the Northern & Bass off the line. The Crappie were in 20-22 fow, anywhere from the bottom to 8′ below the surface. They were under massive schools of Sunnies you could clearly see with the naked(polarized) eye. It was a blast. The water has very good clarity & you could actually see them hitting your bait up to 12 feet down if near the boat. Can’t wait to get back up there – in 3 weeks
