The st. croix river no wake law is in full affect. As a avid fisherman of the st. croix river. I just love this law. I can fish on a nice day like this on the weekend without the jetskis and houseboats throwing up 6 ft waves…lovin it!

Nothing better than the no wake on the river. Really makes for nice fishing.

St. Croix River crests at 1 foot below flood stage

On the “will it, won’t it” scale, the question of whether the St. Croix River will jump its banks is leaning more towards the “it won’t” end of the spectrum.

After heavy rains earlier this week, concern was growing that the river would swell past its flood stage of 87 feet. However, the St. Croix was expected to crest the afternoon of Saturday, June 2, and as of 3 p.m. had topped out at 85.89 feet, according to the National Weather Service’s Advanced Hydrological Prediction Service.

A buddy just picked up a new to him
triton with 200 horsies. He can’t get it in the riv either. Lake Malileau just wouldn’t do it justice

Since the water is literally right up to my door steps, I can see why they have a mandatory no wake regulation.

I’m not trying to make this into an anti big boat thread.

The cruisers that are made to plow through the water really raise heck with the shore line. That’s just the way they are made.

Since there’s more dirt/sand banks on the Mississippi then the St Croix, I wonder why there isn’t any restrictions here(?)

    (Not that I’m advocating them)

No it wouldn’t, not to mention it’s kind of a pain to get in and out of there

I’ve been racking my brain all day to find another good alternative and I can’t think of one. Well I guess I’ll just have to make the treck to Tonka to sling some of those big baits

I yelled at them. I saw them going 50mph north bound and then about an hour later they were going 5 mph southbound. I’m guessing the sheriff caught up with them around Kinnie.

I’m surprised at how few people were out yesterday. It made for a great day trolling with the kids. Picked up 4 saugers.

never understood the point of putting a big boat up on plain….whats the hurry? if i had one it would never be up on plain if i could even afford for it to leave the dock…

Looks like Friday afternoon the no wake restriction will be lifted.
