Hey everyone this Sunday June 3rd at the Cottage Grove VFW (Red Barn) is the Frank Mackall benefit, many people have spent countless hours over the last couple months planning this event. Please come down between 12:30 and 6 pm to enjoy food, music with 2 live bands, over $11,000 in silent raffle items and a kids playland with jumphouses, facepainting, tatoos, firetrucks and apearances from mcgruff, and Dora, all proceeds go to help officer Mackall and his family.

On January 2nd, 2012, Savage Minnesota Police officer Frank Mackall was severely injured in a single vehicle accident while responding to a call in his community of service. Frank was recently released from the hospital after spending 84 days at North Memorial; he continues to recover from a severe brain injury, which will prevent him from returning to work for an extended period of time. Due to the extent of his injuries, Frank’s wife Lisabeth has been forced to leave her job to assist Frank during this recovery process. Frank, Lisabeth and their children are residents of Cottage Grove, Minnesota and Frank also served the Cottage Grove Police Department as a volunteer in the Police Reserves.
