Hi all. I am Zheng, a lighting tools designer in China. I designed lights for police, fire fighters and explorers. I found that people who like fishing needs some kinds of lights, but I still don’t know what they are exactly.

Could anyone teach me the real needs for lighting when shipping?

    Yours, Zheng

not sure about shipping, but when fishing a headlamp that is bright and concise to where I am looking works for me.

My perfect head lamp would have

A head band that’s comfortable for all night wear.
A head band that lasts more then a year before stretching out.
    Use inexpensive batteries like AAA’s.
Red Led’s as the main light. (for less bugs)
    White Led for tying knots.
A price point of under $13. each

A simple easy switch is important for me. Some lights have 4 or 5 modes and you have to scroll through each of them, then if you scroll over the one you want, you have to do it all over again. I want three modes, red, bright white, and off.

Light weight is also important, plus everything that everyone else has mentioned.

Oh yeah, it has to be water proof.

No strobe light. I bet half the head lamps on the market or more have strobe lights. What in the world would someone use this function for?

A good quality and easy to use on and off switch. That is what typically fails on the head lamps. They need to be water proof to for fishing in the rain.

Hi people. Thank you for the kind reply. I just thought you will carry a tripod and put a light on it.
What’s the main purpose of fishing lighting? To see the fish or just your toolbox?
