Anyone try one of these yet? Looks like a pretty neat idea. Just when you thought you had seen it all in crank baits.

Sweet idea, but I will have to wait until a cheap knock-off comes out.

Thought it was pretty inovative, but never tried one myself or heard of any reviews. Saw it revealed during ICAST last year… check http://www.tacklewarehouse.com, they have reviews…

You too were watching Hank Parker today!!!! I have the site marked as a favorite the 1 hook on the crank bait was pretty interesting as was the water filled lures……seemed to be rather spendy!

What would happen if you replaced the rear treble on a standard crank bait with a single hook and removed the front treble? Would that goof up how it runs?

I agree that $14 is a lot of money for one bait

The Sebile hook is built into the lure almost on a spring, when the fish bites the hook moves from below the bait to even with the bait, do not think you could pull it off on your own, the selling point is that the bait dives deep but will not snag as the point of the hook runs up……

Been eye balling that for a while. The extreme diving depth really interests me.

Try buying a whole mess of MegaBass baits, which I have… Take a look at them!
Or a Bull Shad bait, another lure I bought this spring!

There is a reason some baits cost more than others, better quality, better materials(hooks, inner weights, split rings, etc.), and some have won more tourneys one specific bait than others and there is a reason for that, just a better bait! No doubt the cheap bait will catch you fish as well, but a better presented bait i.e. more expensive baits(usually) catches quality fish. Like I said above, there is a reason they are sold for a higher price.

Now I know why I don’t catch dem (Quality) fish. It’s all because I don’t buy dem $15 baits.

If they didnt get hung up in the bottom of the river I could seeing paying the money for them. Fish love to hang in some nasty wood and that wood loves to eat crank baits. Not sure about that single hook on them and how well it would stick to fish. Just thought it was neat to see a different idea in crank baits.

Gary R. used to Musky fish out of one of those one-man pontoons with the inflatable floats. He didn’t like the idea of a good fish with a face full of 7/0 trebles flailing around next to a PVC tube full of air. He replaced the trebles with big single hooks and reported good hook up success. I know he successfully landed fish over 45 inches with that setup. It might be worth experimenting with a modified crankbaits for woody spots. Remove the front hook and replace the rear hook with a single upward pointing single hook.

I’ll try that and see how it works out.

In my experience, it seems most fish are caught on the front treble, so I wonder how the hook up percentage would be with this lure.

I’ve tried a couple of their earlier models while open water trolling for walleyes and was impressed by their action. The quality of their lures and the variety of colors they now offer is simply amazing.

I use bass style cranks frequently on pool 2. For instance, I’ll use Bombers for walleye quite a bit from now through fall.
