Ha Ha Jess, I’ll admit I was just a little bit skeptic at first partnering up with this river rat on the pond after he told me that he’d never owned a Minnesota fishing license or ever seen Mille Lacs. But after a few days pre fishing and the repeated requests to go to a pitchin spot I kept reminding him that we are rigging and his title @ SBC was a “Rigging Specialist.” Forget about laying on his back under a Skeeter dashboard hooking up electronics. We’d get it done. His biggest frustration was to throw back all the big fish and box the ones that were barely longer than our baits for this tournament. Quite a change in tournament strategy from the river game. Don’t ask him for the winning spot as he has no clue as to where but you can bet I’ll be taking him back to Mille in 2 weeks for the next MTT battle.
One things for sure, I was glad to be in that WX-2100 Skeeter when that Mille wind was whippin up a big blow. We had it all locked down thanks to Eric’s solid rigging of my Skeeter. Now we’ll see if he’s a troller for the next one…
