Got back yesterday evening. Nothing short of fantastic fishing. Out of the 10 days I only missed one day on the water because of weather. I started @ West Whitlocks, windy, chilly, but the bite was wild. Mostly small fish, did manage a 28, and several others over 20. For the most part tho, we sorted thru probably 6 to get a 15″+ fish for the table. Chantier Creek area furnished many eater size (15-20) with silver bass and numerous northerns as distractions. The Cheyenne River was the hot spot. We had to limit ourselves to 17″+ fish just to keep from being done the first hour on the water.
Most of the fish came on jig-minnow combo’s pitched and drug slowly back to the boat. Depths ranged from 5′ to 20fow. It looks like jig/crawlers are begiining to work. Probably one of the best Oahe trips I’ve had- jerr

Sounds like a great trip. I was talking to a few old buddies this weekend who have been hammering the fish out of Busch’s lately.
