Just returned from picking my son up at the U. The kid is a chemical engineering major and made the Dean’s list for the entire year. What a great year for a great kid. I keep telling him that he is 1/4 of the way to a great career.

We ate at Hong Kong Noodles for lunch one day and that place was incredible. I knew we made a good choice when I walked in and the place was filled with asians. That place was awesome.

We ate another meal at Canes Chicken Fingers. Chicken was good, but it was hilarious to wait while Pam decided what she wanted. Ryan and I tried not to laugh at her. For those that don’t know, Canes has ONLY chicken fingers…

I hate going up that way, because I don’t ever want to leave. I’ll be back to drop him off in September. Now we spend some time chasing crappies and walleyes down here. We are heading to our place in Shelbyville next week. I am surprising Pam and the boys with a guide trip. I want them to catch a bunch of fish. I haven’t figured those 11,000 acres out yet, so I wanted to shorten the learning curve.

Congrats to your son. Making the Dean’s list is great when you’re in college. It’s a challenge but will really pay off for him.

Sally’s has one of the better walleye diners around, something like $10.99. My middle daughter just graduated last Sunday, and youngest has 2 more years to go. I love the U, and the U loves our bank account
