My Family and I have been invited to spend some time in the Gull Lake MN area towards the end of May. I would be pulling my boat up there and I am sure it would be suitable for the lake, Alumicraft Dominator with 60 hp tiller? If anyone could provide me with any information on Gull Lake I would appreciate it. We would be there for 2 fishable days and looking for panfish. That would be easiest with the kids. PM’s are welcome. Thanks.

Well I fish bass alot on gull and there are a alot of good spots to catch sunfish. but the wind is always a factor on that lake.. I would say look on a lake map of the area and try some smaller lakes. always seem to find sunfish to keep the kids busy.. Goodluck

I have had good luck in the channel on the north end of the lake for pannies! the wind is not a factor there as it is on the main lake, and I beleive there is a boat ramp on the channel as well. good luck!!

I would also recommend the north end. There is a boat ramp there where you can put in and go right under the bridge into some connecting smaller lakes. I have found some great crappie and bass action there. There are some other little “lake like” spots along the east side and way down south in the bays. Easy to get out of the wind there, as the wind will be a factor on the big lake.

Look for crappies in Love Lake, the South end of Margaret lake(old lily and reed beds), in the channel leading to Margaret immediately after the bridge(right handside), also look for panfish in the channels on grassy point(look for an entrance located in Booming Out Bay, stay to the Left of the opening and go through a tunnel and follow the channel to a small opening after the channel turns South, the opening in shallow and narrow but opens up into a nice boat channel that will be loaded with sunfish, crappies and bass. It is a kids dream, fish everywhere and easy to catch. My kids asked to go there all the time.
Any questions, shoot me a another PM or call/text my cell: 763-350-0114
