I was at the race in Talladega last weekend and one of my buddies had this sunscreen. I had always used Neutrogena and had to re-apply it while in the sun baked towers during the race. I applied this stuff prior to entering the track and never had to re-apply. I used the 30 and did not burn at all. Seems to be a very good product that I will be using on the water this year.

This is all I use. Last summer I spent the entire day on Mille Lacs without a shirt on, and only applied this stuff once…It was one of those rare glass calm days that felt like a heat lamp was being aimed at you…good stuff!

Did you check your clothes after washing? I have not found a Coppertone spray product yet that does not stain.

btw,,,I have settled on Neutrogeno also. Not as sticky as others and I use the 80+ stuff.

That is the same reason I will no longer use Coppertone. Copper colored clothing stains when you sweat. Ruined a few good shirts with that junk.

After this talk of staining, I decided to google the topic. It seems that an ingredient found in some sunscreens called avobenzone is the culprit for staining. There appears to be a correlation when the water supply for clothes washing has high iron content in combination with this ingredient. We will see and I appreciate the input.

I haven’t been a fan of sprays because of the amount that is wasted and how it gets on everything, but I can see how it can be handy, especially now that I have a son that doesn’t appreciate having suncreen rubbed on him.

The wife and I really like the Coppertone Oil Free. It’s all we’ve used for the past several years.
