We do alot of drifting after spawn and through the summer. Would you use this rig for that and if so, would you use a 3-way and drop sinker, bottom bouncer, or egg weight on the main line?
All depends on depth, and what kind of motor you run IMO. 5-15′ I opt for bullet or egg sinker, but that’s BC I’m running the outboard and want to get the lure a ways back. Anything over 15′ gets a bouncer. Now if running the electric that may change, get my drift?

I believe that to effectively and efficiently run a slow death rig, you need to both control and monitor your speed. I think drifting would be better suited to some other techniques.
Add in with a bullet sinker hovering above vegetation.
you read my mind. Works great in those shallow lakes. One lake we frequent in arrow head average depth is 10 t o 12 feet. Prety much all we use. Whats great using half crawler we dont run out of crawlers at the end of the trip portage to the cabin On ocasion plastics but not often
