Got some very nice shrooms last night from my brother, and wondered if anyone had a recipe that I should try. I normally just roll them in flour and salt and pepper to taste and fry w/ butter. Anyone have anything better?

I like the garlic sautee with butter and a little s&p. Don’t over cook. Take only a minute or 2 at the most. If you have any left over in the morning, I chop them up with a little onion and cook right into a batch of scrambled eggs.

Fry them in a tiny bit of olive oil until the water comes out of them, drain and save the water (makes any soup a dimension better) then add butter to the pan and saute for a few minutes.

After my 15-year-old sold his last batch for $13/pound he lost his taste for them. He now says it’s like going for a walk in the woods and picking up $10 bills
