    Good work Dayton.

Great reasoning. Maybe we can apply that to other things too that cause more deaths like driving, boating, hunting, alcohol, meds, etc.

He should know about those last 2 real well.

Thank GOD that the State stepped in and protected us again from our selves. Just think how many of us would be dead if it wasn’t for the wonderful regulations of the State.

    How ridiculous can it get!

Gov Dayton is nothing more than a union puppet with no respect for the people of Minnesota.

Maybe if the fireworks industry was unionized, then he would have passed it saying that it will add jobs here in Minnesota and keep our money here.

I was going to start a thread asking that question. I’m assuming that he is not drunk while on TV, but he has to be heavily medicated. I’m not trying to bash him or make any jokes. He just doesn’t seem to be in the right place mentally to be making decisions for the state.

I get a kick out of others making decesions for everyone else–we all need to claim reposiblity for our own actions and goverment cant prevent poeple from doing wrong things all the time anyways so–and accidents to happen–cars-boats–everyday life things–so what can be so bad about lighting off fireworks??

Is that supposed to make me feel better?

I looked forward to being able to buy some decent fireworks down the road and make my own responsible decisions. So you see, he did take something away.

Wisconsin is not too far away. Gives you an excuse to fish the Croix.

I guess I am refering to buying and not legally using. I assumed you can use them without fear of arrest? I have never seen anyone get in trouble for using them in MN.

Anyone willing to wager that Governor No will be Governor Yes when it comes to the AIS License Fee Hike?

DANGER: See the post I just added, Brian. New update on the license fee hike and a new provision that was added to the bill yesterday: Mandatory AIS training course for all MN boaters.

Yes, I could go to Wisconsin and buy some and take the risk of being caught. I never think about it when I am over there and I am not making a special trip.

I like taking risks for excitement, but not when that risk is a fine. It’d be nice to do whatever without fear or looking over your shoulder.

It bugs me when I am in line and see all these sparkly fireworks being sold. I’d like to conveniently buy something a little more fun if I wanted to.

Hopefully I’ll remember next time I am in Wisconsin. All I need is some bottle rockets and I’ll be happy.

Again, he just doesn’t trust us and it is for our own good…because someone told him that.

“Most Minnesotans are responsible enough to boat and use those inherently AIS transporting devices properly and responsibly. Unfortunately, some are not.”

Do herons and ducks shoot fireworks?

If we had fireworks that exploded and made noise Dayton would have to move his desk under the stairs again

This is the same dumb a## that signed the bill to allow beer at the gopher stadium. Let’s see fireworks are too dangerous but drunks are ok???? Just remember he told us he was the worst senator Minn had BEFORE WE VOTED HIM INTO OFFICE!!!!!!!

    I’m torn by this.

I do personally understand the risks. I had $25,000 of fire damage to my property about 10 years ago by some legally shot fireworks, some drunk idiots shot them into my field. Almost burned down my buildings.

So as long as i can enforce my NO TRESPASSING signs with a 308, i’ve got no concerns about a bill like this.

And, you know, I may just SSS on those idiots…

Firework factories are unionized? Unions could care less because this wouldn’t mean more shovel leaners.

Well that hardly contradicts the fact he is a puppet.
