I wonder if they will set up bait piles and drop a couple thousand deer “for research” like they did here last year.

I come to a fishing site and all I read about is AIDS and 4WDs.

Or my eyes are getting worse.

Here is an article from the Milwaukee Journal on this.

    CWD found in Shell Lake

It is another example of a pizz poor job by our DNR. 4 freaking months to test this. I’m sure if we give them more money, everything will be better.

I bow hunt in Cumberland (15 miles south of Shell Lake) and gun hunt outside of Minong which is 25 miles north of Shell Lake. Even though I’m guilty of using corn for baiting in the past, I’m glad they will be banning it in the near future.

Amen to that bro! Great excuse to create jobs, and keep money flowing for the WDNR.

CWD has been around since the 50s not one recorded sickness from eating the meat….Still Illinois DNR thinks eradication is the answer. They come in at night with sharp shooters and shoot every deer that comes near their bait piles. I hunt in McHenry County and my stands that I used to pass on 20 to 30 deer per season waiting for a trophy, taking a couple for meat, last year were pathetic.
