Minn Kota PD vs Terrova

Looking at getting a Minn Kota with I-pilot. Looking between the PD 70 and the Terrova 80. Minus the difference in thrust, and not being able to use the foot pedal with the pd 70, what would the difference between these two trolling motors be?

Terrova’s have a better deploying and locking and overall durability is better. Go Terrova and you will never look back!

IMHO there isn’t a whole lot of difference, certainly not enough to sell a powerdrive for a terrova, but if you are buying new, the terrova is a better choice. Overall I never disliked my power drive, and I got the terrova because I was buying a brand new motor with the boat. If money was tight, I wouldn’t feel shorted one bit to run a PD again. Kind like buying a car, do you need the fully loaded leather, navigation model, or not?

If it is between a PD70 with I-pilot or a Terrova with out I-pilot I would get the PD70.

x4 make sure you get a new remote Very rarly do I miss my foot pedal, if Im working a big fish I enjoy the ability to move around the boat freely while fighting rather than being stuck with one foot on the pedal

There is no choice here, the Terrova is simply a superior product. Starting with the foot pedal ergonomic design being advanced over the old PD pedal, to the ease of deployment in the Terrova mechanism. Why settle for 2nd best when you can have the real deal? Terrova all the way
