    I think it has something to do with the built in set back for the motor. I don’t think you need a jack plate with a VS model. I could be wrong on this though. I know with my VS it was impossible to swamp the boat pulling it out of gear at WOT. That set back just deflected the water instead of it coming over the splash well.
