I don’t remember who said it, but they said I would miss my chevy when the smoke cleared and they are absolutly correct. – have changed everything on this ford and regrounded it and still nothing! Argh! I shall conquer this though.

HV, I just remembered I had the same problem with a 86 chevy.

On the chevy there was a solenoid type apparatus mounted on the frame of the truck with fuel lines going to it that was malfunctioning, as this was an older truck and one tank leaked I just bypassed the solenoid connecting the fuel line from the good tank to the supply to the carbs.

Try fallowing the fuel line from the tank to see if there is an apparatus that has 2 fuel lines leading into it and 1 fuel line running to the engine. If ford has something like this I think this may be your culprit. I believe its called a fuel tank selector valve.

I bought a new ’10 Chev. Knew right away I’d made a terrible mistake. Since our money tree died I decided I’d have to live with it. I ran into the salesman that sold it to me, he asked me if started liking my new truck. I told him I never got around to liking it, just that I got used to hating it Maybe that new eco-boost doesn’t look quite so bad- – jerr

There is a vacuum control module so the fuel pump will not operate in the case of a crash. If it goes bad had it happen it will not start mine was under the hood drivers side cost to replace at that time $18.

I want to think everyone for their help with my truck and the patience yall have shown. I believe I am just goNna hook up a pair of 30 amp toggle switches and try and run them direct. I can’t afford anymore parts at this point and need to get the truck going again so I can get back to fishing. I just need it to run till I can buy another truck I know how to work on.
