I thought we had a superstar at shortstop, last year? Wasn’t he the next Asian superstar?

Where is that guy now? Did the Twins trade him?

Twins really need some hitting help !!!!! WOW!!!!!!

You had a trade for JJ Hardy but cut him loose after 1 year. Your teams bad as he is doing very well in Baltimore now. Always liked him as he worked his way through the Crews system he just had a few years of bad luck injury’s. He never will be a super star but he is more than adequate at short with good power

Do u want to make a bet which of the 3 teams end up with the worst record?…..didn’t think so……

OK, so whats your point? If it’s only that the Yankees and Red Sox will have better records, so what? Are you such a front runner that you can’t enjoy the local teams unless they are winning the World Series? I know they might not win every day but…………..there still is 158 games left this season.

Joe Mauer is the best catcher ever to play a game in Minnesota. Justin Morneau at one time was on his way to being a top 15 player ever to play for the Twins. Going back to 1961 there has generally been at least one very good player on the Twins roster through the years. Carew, Killebrew, Kaat, Puckett, Hrbek, Allison, Chance, Santana and the list goes on. Then of course there are the opposing players. Baseball has given the fans of this area much more through the years then just 2 World Series titles. If you watch baseball purely for wins and losses you better find a different sport.

Dutch you can save the lecture for someone else. I have tickets to multiple games this year. Forgive me for being a realist though and for being highly disappointed in where this team has gone in 2 years. Whether you want to admit it now or in a month, the drive for 100 is on again.

    Is the game still around?

I found an online version that isn’t free after mentioning it. I was curious too.

Wasn’t intended as a lecture. Just that the game is much more enjoyable to be watched for the talent of the players. The winning is nice but is secondary to the game itself IMO. This team has changed very little in the last couple of years. Still have very good hitters with very poor pitching. Other then a handful of teams pitching is very mediocre at best in baseball right now.

Enjoy the games, Target Field makes it much easier to take if the team is having a bad year.

I’ll enjoy the games. The first one is this Sunday. I’m hoping they aren’t still looking for win #1. I’m also somehow I’m eating the words I’ve written on this post.
