If you were to ship an electronic item for around the $300. mark in the postal services “if it fits it ships” box, would you insure it?

Just don’t be cheap. Get a bigger size and wrap the item in bubble wrap and you should be good to go.

This is not insurance related, but I would check the weight of your item first. I have had a few times where it would have been cheaper if I used a plain box over that one. BUt to answer your question, I never get insurance.

Thanks to all so far! I’ll see what the buyer says as well.

Why wouldn’t you insure it???? Don’t you think the USPS has ever lost an item?? It is a government entity!!

Never had a package go astray from the Post office. I do get “Delivery confirmation” though. I believe it is just 75 cents.

Insurance on that amount is a few bucks. Offer the option to the buyer.

If your selling it, insure it and get a delivery conformation, if the buyer never gets it, your most likely the one out not him.
