Looks like there are some sweet guns on there. Too bad every time I go to an auction the item goes for double its value. I went to buy a Tahoe one time and it went for double book.

Wonder why they are having it in Zimmerman? You would think they would have a better turnout if it were closer to the Twin Cities.

You must never have been to Hiller’s Auctions before. That place gets PACKED.

Nope, never been to Hillers auctions before. But I’m sure there are plenty of facilities closer the the Twin Cities that could handle pretty large crowds too.

I’d be interested in hearing from anybody who goes about the prices. I only know one guy who went to this DNR auction before and the prices were crazy.

I’m pretty turned off when it comes to firearms auctions. I just haven’t been to any lately where the prices weren’t crazy or the reserves weren’t ridiculous. It seems like there’s no middle ground, either the sellers have crazy ideas that old beat to hell stuff is worth a fortune and new stuff should sell at or above SRP, or I end up bidding against the one guy in the crowd that thinks every gun is worth 30% more than its book value.

Between the credit card fees that every auction house wants to charge, and sales tax, this auction adds 10% to the hammer price. That’s pretty steep considering that list is full of guns that in average used condition will be worth less than $300.
