Opening day is Friday in Baltimore. 3 games there and the Twins come home to Target Field for the home opener against the Angels on Monday followed by games Wed. & Thursday.

Whats your thoughts on the 2012 edition of the Twins? Seems Mauer is ready to go. Morneau is hitting the ball, Doumit, Willingham & Carroll will be a big help. Now, if only the pitching didn’t still suck.

My two keys for season: 1. M & M boys playing, producing, and not being back on DL for extended amounts of time
    2. Starting pitching bouncing back and having respectable numbers – Liriano and Blackburn have looked great this spring and Pavano, Baker, and Marquis have not
I love this time of year, fishing and baseball. Go Twins!

I see no way we dont end up in last place this season. I love our squad, but everyone else in the division has made moves in the right direction, while we’ve slid the opposite way. Gonna be fun though none the less, I cant wait!!!

This is the least interested I’ve ever been in a Twins season opener. I can’t pinpoint the reason, but they have have gotten rid of some of my favorite players and haven’t made any big moves to get me excited. Maybe once the season gets started, I’ll be interested again.

The softball team in Detroit is clearly better. However Chicago, Cleveland & Kansas City aren’t any better if M&M stay healthy. With Ryan back in charge you will see a different attitude this year.

And the #1 reason the Twins will be more fun this year………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….John Gordon is gone. At least now if they suck Cory Provus will have the count, score & inning right.

    ain’t that the truth

Our pitching is going to be terrible and pitching is the key in MLB. I’m not overly optimistic for this season, but still excited to watch!
Hoping M&M can bounce back in a big way

After watching them a couple times in spring training, I think MN is going to love Carrol. He’s kind of that scrappy, plucky, always hustling middle infielder. If he hits anywhere near .290 as he’s done last two years, he’ll be a fan favorite.
Other guy to be excited about is Parmalee. Came up last year and hit well with power, and appears to be our new 1B, with some time also at RF and DH.
Span is back, Willingham should cancel out anything lost in Cuddyer, big question now is can Valencia keep his spot. Interesting they kept Burroughs to ‘back him up’!

M&M return to form and we can at least get excited about the offense.

I think they’ll have at least a even win loss season. Morneau moved to the DH role is a good one. Joes biggest injury was being beat up by the Media and the fans and I think that really got to him. I’m thinking He’s going to have a pretty good year.

I really do like our team this year. Our lineup has great depth, not as deep as detriot who also has 9 viable starters, but we are close. If span, mauer, morneau, and our whole pitching staff stay healthy like they havent in years past we have a shot as a wild card. KC will be decent for the first time in how many years. I really like some of these guys that havent been in the big leagues yet, like dozier and parmelee. its allllllll on the pitching staff however, they are all .500 pitchers, gotta have atleast 2 of them step up which i think liriano will for sure.
