    Hi,

I am in the market for a new cranking battery for my boat, and Fleet Farm has a deal this week for Resolute brand batteries for 69.95 after all is said and done. 810 CCA.

This would be for an older 35HP Evinrude. Anybody have experience with this brand and any thoughts on them?

    Thanks!

I have had a couple in the past and I would say an average battery at best. Good for the price. They don’t last as long.
istate or optima’s are worth the cash because they last.

if you can swing it I would go Interstate. You will get decent results initially but will see the perforance go away in the following charges as they will hold less and less charge.

Yeah, you’re probably right. Batteries are something you shouldn’t skimp on. Thanks for the input guys!

They work great for me… have one for the cranking and one for the trolling motor. Never ran the trolling motor dead once and the 40 horse evinrude starts every time.
