Chili Poll

    Yeah, I know I don’t get out much…hence the reason for this poll.

    There was a cook off yesterday. River Dan vs Steve and Keri’s chili. Chili Wars if you will.

    Both were far better chili than what I’ve ever made, and to be honest I think it was as draw as far as which one was the best.

    My poll question is fairly simple. Steve and Kari’s chili had mushrooms in it. I’ve never seen or heard of mushrooms in chili before.

    Am I the only person that hasn’t ever seen ‘shrooms in chili??

    Were the shrooms put in toward the end or did they simmer and break down? And were they the good shrooms?

    They were both good and welcomed after 7 hours of fishing with few snacks in the boat Thanks to both you guys for the chili and the hotdogs

    Mushrooms belong is spaghetti sauce…….not “real” chili.

    Hmmm many more people have heard of this than I thought.

    You get down around Cincinnati and it’s pretty common to have your chili served on spaghetti. Not bad!

    The cafeteria by my work has a Cincinnati chili dish. I was a bit surprised when they put it over spaghetti, but it was good.

    I’m always revamping or adjusting the secret recipe for my chili and shrooms will be in my next batch. I have not seen it before but then again I don’t get around regular people either.

    That was awesome and a winner in itself!

    I had so much, the FW said I’m going to get sick. I hate when she’s right.

    One half container left….but I’m going to split that up over the next couple days.

    Or Chili Mac… Love elbow macaroni in my chili and don’t forget the heavily buttered potato rolls for dunkin’!!!

    All this warm weather and now some rain has me thinking fungus…… Morels that is. Guess I should have stopped in to visit.

    never had ‘shrooms’ in my chili, but I do like a good shroom.
    I have had chili with both peanut butter and chocolate in it. Go figure…. ? And in texas, look out, anything and everything can end up in there, Rattlesnake, Armadillo, and every kind of hot pepper you know of..makes youform the heat(and pain).

    Mushrooms in chili is like senior citizens making porn. It’s out there, some people dig it, but it just aint right.

    Lets keep the shrooms in the spaghetti sauce.
