I only watched the first and third period last night. I thought I was watching two different games!

Being a goalie myself, I tend to criticize goalies more than others. Although Patterson was in no way the reason the gophs lost, I really think that the goalie really needs to come up big this time of year. A goalie really needs to bail his team out several times during a gam to be successful during the playoffs. I felt really nervous for every save that he made. It wasn’t like that at the beginning of the year.

    Very disappointed

I watched until the end of the second. I missed the first part of the 3rd and I am conditioned to expect the unexpected. Turned it back on when they just scored the 5th. I can’t take it anymore.

Don’t mock the curse of the pug. When I get excited about a team they flop. When I start ragging on them when they start losing, they turn it around.

I think there was a Gopher football game a few years back, that experienced a simular colasal collaspe?

It didn’t turn out well for the Coach

I’m all in on the “curse of the pug”. How else can you explain the Wild and last nights collapse?

So, next weekend you will have the Gophers, North Dakota, Duluth and another sacrificial lamb for the West Regional. Anybody going to those?

From now on I will try rooting for the enemy. However, I can’t promise the universe won’t recognize I am being disingenuous.

Not all of those teams will be in the same regional, too much respect for the WCHA!!!

6 minutes left in the game my directtv took me to the T-wolves game!!! Even though it went way downhill, my idea of change was not to go to that!!!

I don’t think Lucia is in trouble. They won the league title, showed a bunch of improvement over last year and most importantly hired Guntzel back. Without a athletic director to hire a replacement he is safe………for now.

Hopefully this embarrassment will fire the players up to play some complete games this weekend.

I am just not very sure that Lucia has the fire left in him.

Hakstol calls a timeout and lights an absolute fire under his team,it was like watching and endless inning in baseball with one run after another crossing the plate.

Lucia had no answer for it.

I’m not putting the blame on Pug for this one.

    Lucia was outcoached!!

I still don’t understand why Lucia didn’t call a time out himself to try and slow things down.
    It was a horrible collapse.

I know a lot of people were boozed up but we had a complete jackwagon ND fan sitting in front of us that turned around and screamed the “sieve, sieve, sieve” chant right at Heidi and I every time ND scored with the arm point and all.

When the Gophs scored Heidi and I did the rouser and cheered but nothing directed at a specific person. It’s been a long time since I’ve had the urge to knock someone’s chicklets out but this dude was a complete jerk.

We got tickets to the W regional….I just hope the Gophs play better than they did Fri night or it will be one and done for them.

I hate UND with a passion…but they outplayed the Gophs and came back from 3 down so they deserved to win, they were the better team that day.

That sure can ruin a game. Although I like it when you get into some good natured back and forth against opposing fans and then tip your hat or shake hands when it is over.

As for Lucia not having the fire and being out coached, I guess Lucia must have out coached Hakstol 3-1 during the regular season. Poop happens.

I sure would like a rematch this weekend, but one or both of these teams could look past their Saturday game and lose.

Don’t worry . . . we had terrible Gopher fans behind us – and taunting us on the street “Sioux suck” and more. However, most Gopher fans were fine. I think the Final five brings out some real jack bags from all fan bases.

    No beer at the Regionals.

Just looked at the brackets and they took 4 WCHA teams, why couldn’t they put them in each of the four brackets???

putting them all in a different bracket would allow for the possibility of an all WCHA frozen 4. Heaven forbid something like that happen.
