When I install my radio in my new boat, (pictures coming soon)do I run the power to the crank battary or deep cycle? I am having a brain block… Thanks, Triston

+1 on the Cranking Battery. You will get less interference with it, the same reason you attach the depth finders, marine radios, etc. to the cranking battery.

put in a third battery for accessories if you have the room. Sure does suck when you drain the cranking battery rockin out in the boat

If you don’t have the room connect to the cranking battery

+1 on third battery, embarrassing when you need a jump or tow at the end of a day of rocking. Lazarus jumper system is also good in a pinch.
