Its been going on for years. Unfortunately the general public is very naive when it comes to PETA and the national Humane Society.
There needs to be a movement to educate people to donate to local shelters. Along with that to get to know the shelter so that you know your money is well spent.
There has been confusion on IDO before, so I feel I need to point out that the Humane Society in Minnesota is NOT associated with the National Humane Society.
I came across this gross exploitation on Facebook the other day. Abused
It says that the Humane Society will donate $1 for every repost.
Here in lies the problem. Annually the National Humane Society contributes less than 5% of their budget to shelters.
As for the original post, PETA is so twisted that they probably feel like euthanizing them is better than having those pets couped up with all that love.
Just remember PETA likes to say, “Fishing Hurts”. To which I always reply, “Which is why I fish. Battling a struggling fish in pain is more fun than reeling in a fish that gives up”.
