I need your help to keep this post positive. I as much as anyone would like to go negative, but the post will be locked if this happens.

As of 2 pm last Thursday afternoon, Everts Resort is under new management.

Steve Weber, a nephew of the Jack Weber that died suddenly a few months back has assumed the day to day operations of the resort.

Steve is 30 years old, married for 9 years and has a son that just turned two this last Sunday. Steve has extensive experience in hospitality from when he worked at a marina in FL and in the manufacture and installation of commercial garage doors.

His love of fishing started when he was 9 years old and came to Everts with his dad for a vacation. His love of fishing grew over the years and into Tournament fishing. He hopes to have the time to enjoy the river soon and fish some of the local tourneys.

The transition of management should be completed today.

Steve quit his higher paying job to take the job that he’s dreamed of and is moving his family and belongings to the resort over the next week or so.

I hope you’ll take the time to stop in and meet Steve soon. You will be impressed.

He’s a good guy with a good heart that believes and “knows” the value of word of mouth advertising.

River Rat Randy is receiving his pink slip for maintaining the back channel ramp tomorrow.

PS Doc, there will be pizza in the freeze tomorrow.
Park were you want with consideration for the next guys.

Nice! I sent an email a week ago asking about a reservation in August. Do you know if the email is being checked?

BK – I take it the camper is safe now?

    Great News indeed!!!

Steve, Welcome to Everts for you and your family

I hope the move goes well and that you are able to bring back those some of the old Everts so many of us have known and loved throughout “the Dean years” and also make your own improvements

Welcome aboard and best of luck. I hope get up that way to say in the near future.

I hope we all give this young man a fare shake. Past management good or bad is a memory. Things will never be the same, again good or bad.

Good luck to you Steve and welcome to wonderful world of THE River!

I had a chance to BS with RRR yesterday and he mentioned the change and was obviously excitied about the switch. If Randy is good with this, I am. Any change was going to be positive. This will benefit all.

    Great news!

One bit of advice someone should share with Steve. Please keep the keys for anything mechanical out of Bk’s reach.
