how is the ice in PDC area. The grandson has off Friday and I would like to take him fishing. I am trying to decide if just north of town would be good place to take him.

Late winter bad ice I’ve tried Cold Springs bank fishing for Blue Gills right by the parking lot. Piece of crawler or waxie under a small bobber. Not sure where you’re from, but C.S. is on the east side of the RR tracks so you’ll need a Wisc. Fishing Lic.

I saw guys on the ice yesterday between lynxville and PDC. I think their wives sent them to get rid of them permanetly. Way too much open water showing around them for me. Be careful please.

I was on Cold Springs yesterday and there was a good 9 inches of ice. Top 3 inches was white and slightly slushy by days end but 6 inches of good clear solid ice under that. It gets less as you get closer to the creek and open water but guys were fishing tip ups real close to that open water. Fishing slow except for bass on tip ups using shiners. Flags were flying good there. Desoto Bay and green lake have good ice yet too.

Went by Spring Lake yesterday and there were atleast 20 people out there. Don’t know about ice thickness.
