Koot, you can just keep taking them back like he did until one fits..

Back in the day when I use to sell beds the store I worked at use to give 60 night sleep trials, I don’t think they do that anymore. How long do these companies let you try out a bed now?

By the way a common question from customers was what do you do with a bed that comes back? How do I know I am not getting a mattress that has already been used? The reply we were told to use was that all mattresses that came back went back to the factory for a new cover….. that did not happen, just some food for thought.

Kooty, if you test a foam bed just remember they are really tough to get back in the box if you want to send it back!

Your notions that you are throwing around from back in the day are falsehoods. If any store resells a used mattress it is a federal violation. The price for beds are marked up like you said but that cost also covers people doing swaps. That is why they can afford it. When a customer has a bed delivered or picked up for that matter…it is in plastic and fresh from the factory. Don’t believe me?? Check the serial number on it and it is traceable back to the factory along with the production date and time. No store is going to have customers if they do not accept and honor in home grace periods with the consumer…that is just the way it is these days. Consumers demand that because buying a bed has become worse than buying a vehicle. It is not just a box with springs anymore. A lot has changes since you were selling beds. Anyone buying a bed should not be in fear of getting railroaded. I don’t get where this comes from.

It is not a notion that I am throwing around!!! You are right it is a federal violation to sell a used mattress. I am not saying this is a common practice and I do not know if it still goes on today but I do know it did happen at the store I worked at several years ago.

We got a Tempur about 9 years ago. It is not any warmer or cooler than any other bed that I can tell ? The nice thing about the Tempur, it will adjust to your body and best comfort position auotmatically, depending on how your body naturally wants to position. With an air bed, when your set at 70, your at 70 all night. If you reposition yourself in the middle of the night, the memory foam will accomodate automatic As you know, me and Pam are about the same size and we both love the bed The price is hard to swallow, but like you said, if it last 20 years, easy to justify longterm

Oh yeah I almost forgot… she can set her wine glass down on her side and I jump up and down and it doesn’t spill…
