Millie Lacs has had some big heaves the last couple of days. Some resorts are closing their roads for part of the day. This warm weather today won’t help matters.

These warmer days sure aren’t helping. I have my permanent a couple miles out, so I think I’ll take the snowmobile along just incase I can’t drive out. Two weeks ago I was up and guys were taking wheelhouses out all over the mud flats. I snowmobiled out there and found under 10 inches of ice in some places.

talked to hunters last night and the only place they knew of with sketchy ice anymore was around Fisher’s. otherwise, besides all of the cracks lately, 19-22″ all over. i’m heading up tomorrow.

I find that pretty interesting/cool that Mill Lacs would have ice heaves. This year has been pretty bad as far as ice heaves/shoves on Green Bay. There are some shoves over 12ft high. Pretty amazing how wild mother nature can be. If you got an pics I would love to see them. I am still trying to figure out how to post pics on here
