I was in a Union, not a trade union. I admitted I know nothing about the trade unions, so go back, read what I actually wrote and don’t cherry pick posts & you should be fine. To think that a union, doesn’t leverage it’s brawn & power, to get certain “projects” let’s just say I don’t buy it. To also say that private firms could not build as good of a hospital, well that just proves something else, you used the word ignorant. You have a good weekend, maybe do some fishing.

Damn, I didn’t know I was going to open up such a can of worms. Thanks to all my union brothers,[ can non-union say that?] for what you posted. Makes me proud to be part of the Brotherhood. T.C.F. Stadium. The Gonda, Broadway Plaza, Colbalt Towers,ETC.
P.S. G with all the posts you have on this subject, how do you get any thing done. You said your Boss knows. He wouldn’t last long in a Union. This is Starvin Pilgrim, Signing off.
February 11, 2012 at 10:50 am #1037758I agree with a new subject. I didnt know that this was going to be a war zone when i made my account or i would have kept looking for a diffrent spot. This kind of conversation belongs on a political forum or something. Im glad to see that everyone is so passionate about their beliefs, but i think that passion is keeping anybody from hearing what the other guy is saying. When i read the original post it was talking about vehicles and how the riceburners(lol) are better than american cars and trucks. There was nothing mentiond about anyone being lazy. As for the original post, when you look at the new cars, their is no real diffrence between american and foreign cars. The Pontiac Vibe for instance shares the same frame and motor with the toyota carolla. In an effort to produce cheaper cars, we as a country have lost our individuality in the car market. All the way up to about 82 we had the coolest looking cars and trucks. Now, I atleast cant tell much diffrence between a ford a chevy and a tacoma. They all look the same with dodge being the exception. Toyotas are built here in the US now so to me, that makes them American made I guess.
deertrackerPosts: 9237February 11, 2012 at 11:49 am #1037764It’s just the mid winter blues we are experiencing. Only a small percentage of posts end up like this. I find it entertaining but its not obviously the intent of the site. When we either get warmer weather or better ice the site will get back to business as usual. You also don’t have to join in if you don’t want too.
DTFebruary 11, 2012 at 1:14 pm #1037791I look at it this way, it’s like family. You fight like cats and dogs, but you still like each other. Just because I’m 180 degrees off from the pro-union opinion, doesn’t mean I still wouldn’t fish/hunt/have a beer with any one of these guys. If you think this is bad, wait until a “MVP QB of the league” thread comes along. Then we get nasty!!
I bet if you were to look back at the history of IDO, I personally can only think of a handful of threads that got heated. Sure the moderators step in occasionally, but 99% of the site is free of the BS. Ignore the 1% if it bothers you. If you can find a site that is run better than this when it comes to BS free, almost completely uncensored content, I’d like to know about it. This is the main reason IDO has done so well, for so long.
February 11, 2012 at 1:20 pm #1037796Well said Kooty. I was going to post something similar, but decided against it.
For me, posts like this are cathartic. I am nothing like that in person, for the most part. Actually I think I am more argumentative online because I am not in person. I guess that’s why I call it cathartic.
Hopefully no one has ever turned to hating me. I know more than once during this time of year I have posted something where people have called for me to be banned or filtered. Usually the claim is they won’t come back and some how my post is going to make them lose advertisers, something to that effect. Pretty laughable.
February 11, 2012 at 1:24 pm #1037798Kooty, you’re such a pussycat. See what living in Minnesota does to you?

To really top it off… sometimes me and my boss (the owner) spend alot of time going through his trail cam cards, doing some pre-scouting…
In fact, in our business, we are encouraged to do ALOT of networking through social media
big G’s definition of social networking….sitting at work, union bashing and checking out trail cams on IDO! I love it! That is too funny,,,buddy!
Have a good work week everybody!
