Question for the Motor Heads

I am going to put a new (Stronger) racing clutch in my ’05 Mustang. I will supply the clutch to a mechanic for installation. Are there any good mechanics out there who would do this? Ford was no help whatsoever. They wont even sell me a Ford Racing clutch. And both I talked to declined my request for them to install it because I didn’t buy it through them! Talk about a catch 22! So I am going to get an Exedy Stage 3 kit and get it installed. My question is where? Any suggestions?

When you get the clutch put in make sure you break it in as the instructions say to. My friend has made that mistake before, he has a SC on his vet and the added torque really can take it’s toll on a clutch. His shop is always busy but he would put it in if you’re interested. PM me if you want his contact info.

trumar may have an answer to your question, if you can not find anyone in your area I can ask my mechanic as he will let his customers bring in there own parts, just not sure if he would take this kind of job or not but I can find out for you if you like.

Your sons Jami and E should replace it since they wore it out

Why wouldn’t FORD want the work ? Who cares where you bought it ? Weird…
