Buying a truck from out of state

    I bought a truck from montana and live in wi, montana has no sales tax, am i still liable for wi sales tax when i register it here? pretty sure i do but not a 100% sure

    Yep, MN isn’t going to turn down an opportunity to tax you.

    I am pretty sure you would have to pay Tax to register it.
    A call to the WI DMV is the sure answer.

    Yes you will. It will be based on the value of the vehicle, just like a registration renewal. But you’ll probably be charged a state transfer fee, but that usually isn’t to bad. Mostly it’s a processing fee.
