I’ll pass on that.
Im sure many will. Main reason being that they’re rarely the underdog. But I became a fan of Brady and the Patriots when they WERE the underdog and defeated the high power returning SB champions best show on turf in 2001. I just like how they shut up and get it done year after year. They take guys like Welker, Woodhead, Branch, etc and make them into players after other teams either dumped them or couldnt see their full potential.January 25, 2012 at 12:50 pm #1031739Go Patriots! When I was younger I spent all of my money on Drew Bledsoe cards and Patriots gear. Bledsoe didn’t amount to much, but I’ve been a Patriots fan ever since. Its way better than being a Vikings fan and every week.

January 25, 2012 at 7:02 pm #1031903I never expected to see a Vikings fan that actually knew a good qb when they saw one.

I would think you are smart enough to understand the difference between Starr’s “league championships” before the Super Bowl, and Brady’s who has none of those – Starr has three along with 2 super bowls and two super bowl MVP’s, the fact that Starr won his 5 in 7 short years makes it even more remarkable. Enuf said, like I said you can have Tom I stand with Starr.
January 25, 2012 at 10:15 pm #1031984Old Tom terrific was less than terrific last Sunday as they dodged a Raven bullet and got lucky to win.
Tom better bring his A game to the super bowl or he will be on the plane ride home.

Good point. Starr’s Career completion percentage is 57.4. That would get you a spot on the practice squad for the Broncos today. Given the fact that the NFL is obviously more pass happy and the game has changed, he still missed on over 40% of his passes. AND. there were 13 teams in the league. SO YES he has 5 championships in what is basically a conference today. You’re right. Starr is the best ever!

Time to visit this subject again with a little more information. First: Lets get the big white elephant out of the way. Tom vs. Eli in the Super Bowl 0-2. Mind you Eli Manning would have to be a good to great player for the next 4-6 years to be considered HOF material. Next: other HOF QB’s Super Bowl records. Joe Montana 4-0, Terry Bradshaw 4-0, Bart Starr 2-0 in the Super Bowl Era 3-0 B.C./S.B. for a grand total of 5-0. Tom Terrific 3-2 with a pretty lousy playoff record in the last 5 years. Any rebuttal?
February 6, 2012 at 2:24 am #1035778I thin ANY team could have won this game… including my Team and even the KC Cheifs…. lame game…. 21 -17… with a safety ??? Guess getting there is the battle, not the game itself
February 6, 2012 at 4:28 pm #1035938Well. you said it. bart has 2 and tom has 3. I’m not going to waste my time with a bart / Brady debate. Read above if you want keep that going in your head.
