Jack, you can find the ’11 chips around if you want. If you need help, please shoot me a PM. I just got recent shipment of ’11 MN, WI, MI chips for my backups.

Always better to have the most current, up to date info that you can have, Right?
Also LOW is only on the Rainy/LOW chip.
    Keep your ’09 as a back up…

    Should I be worried here? I have a 2007 Lowrance LCX 113HD,
do you think I should upgrade my chips before they are gone and will the new softwear work in my unit.

I do not like the thought of having to use Navionics, I swore them off several years ago.

If you have existing Lakemaster chips they will work in Lowrance units as long as its designed for Lowrance. The chips don’t wear out do they? So hang onto your existing chips. Who’s to say that Navionics won’t pickup where Lakemaster left, allot of Lowrance market share open.

Good business practice on Humminbirds side of the fence.

I sure won’t switch back to Humminbird because of Lakemaster chips.

anyone try backing these up to new chips or onto their desktop?

Can’t hurt to upgrade, I picked up another new chip at Thorne Bros to bring both my 27LCX units up to date and will keep the older chip as a spare.

Now hopefully the units will last for another couple years..:)

These chips cannot be backed up on desktops. Basically plug and play chips, cannot be downloaded either.

    Jeff,

No worries. Your chips will work.

I personally like knowing that I have the latest, newest chip, especially since I know that Lakemaster will not be making any more for Lawrance.
