I got a little moisture in my tackle box and now some of my jigs and spoons are rusted! I am not talking hooks the bodies have a little on them. Anyone know how to get the rust off?

I know with golf clubs if you put them in pepsi it will take it off. Don’t know if it works the same with jigs. I’m sure someone will have answer. Worst case scenario you get to buy new fishing tackle!!!

I have used and toothbrush and toothpaste in the past , pending of amount of rust it worked well.

I heard Coca-cola works well but will do more damage than good if left in there to long.

I had the same problem this year. I soaked them in CLR for about 30 min then scrubbed them with a toothbrush. Then I rinsed them really well.
    It worked pretty well.

I was worried about residue from the cleaner that would turn the fish off, but after 3 outings, I still out-fish my partner. (Just don’t tell him I said that)

I have used vinegar in the past and it also worked pretty well.
