Those two things happen, Pack win for sure!!!

If the Giants can run the ball and keep Rodgers on the sideline they will a have a shot.
I look for the giants to try and slow the game down and hope for a low scoring game.

The Giants defense needs two maybe three sacks. They just can’t let Rodgers sit in the pocket and fire at will.
Make him run and knock him down a few times.

Apparently, Packer fans (at +14 on average) are twice as confident as oddsmakers.

Oddsmakers also said Packers would win over K.C.

Thats why we play the game.
Most people thought LSU would beat Alabama too.
I’m pulling for the Pack but anything can happen.

    Go Pack!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I was thumbing through an old SI somewhere (probably getting haircut) and it was the preseason, game by game season predictions… it had GB winning all their games….except KC WTF !!!

G are you serious? Did it say anything about Tebow throwing for 316 yards with a passer rating of 31.6? If it did I’m getting ready for the end of the world in December!!!!!

Don’t forget that he completed only 10 passes for an average of, you guessed it 31.6 yards per pass. And isn’t it also strange that he needed exactly 80 yards in the OT for the total to be 316?

MOST important…first game with a complete o-line since game 2 (Clifton, Bulaga, and Sitton back). Jennings and Woodson back.

    Pack by 10.

    Go Pack!

I’d say it will be a close game, and am thinking the Giants have a REAL shot at winning the game.
Turnovers will dictate outcome, but think Giants will pull it out.

well, i think they should just put the Giants in the SB without playing the game. people, people, the Pack was 15-1! 15-1. and they have had the chance to get healthy and playing at home. it will be close until 1/2 time

Your only fear should be the Giants running game. If that gets going and they keep Double Check on the sideline, you could be in for a stressful Sunday. Again, I don’t see it, but stuff happens in the NFL each year that makes you scratch your head.

BTW, did anyone hear Leroy Butler on Mike and Mike this morning. As a Packer fan, I’d be embarrassed to be associated with such a nit wit. The way he downplayed the tragic events this week was disgusting in my humble opinion.

    Kooty,
I just listened to the interview. Not sure what you found disgusting. He just says the Packers are battle tested and McCarthy will have them ready. What did he say that makes you think he was downplaying the events of this week? Is the link below different than what you listened too? Or are you just being a bitter Viking fan?

Watching Farve for 17 years made me scratch more than my head…

You are correct that the Giants run game can be good. Don’t discount the return of Starks though. He showed last year that he played the season for show and playoffs for dough.

The first 60-90 seconds to me are disgusting. Maybe I’m just too sensitive but losing a child is something that cuts deep for me. One of his statements, “stuff like this happens all the time, you gotta be ready to play”. Gosh, I sure hope not. I’m thankful it doesn’t in my life anyway.

I don’t know how being a Viking fan has any influence when it comes to feeling bad for a family who lost a son and to hear a known blow hard trivialize it. Just my opinion, I probably should have kept to myself.

Leroy sounded like a tool…. battle tested ? I think his choice of words was poor… maybe something like, coach McCarthy will motivate the team to play this game for the grieveing coach or something along them lines, dedicate the game to him or something, not non-chalantly say, this suff happens and were battle tested….

I agree completly with you guys. Sounds like he is trying to sound tought and down play the loss. But he comes off as being ignorant and a jerk. Glad he no long has to do with the Packers organization.

    Kooty,
I didn’t hear him say he didn’t feel sorry for the family. I don’t think the “stuff like this happens all the time, you gotta be ready to play” comment was specific to losing a child. TJ Lang lost his dad this week too.

I guess since I drink the green koolaid and enjoy listening to LR Butler’s weekly Packer analsis, I don’t consider him a blow hard either. At least not like Paul Allan.

That being said, I agree 100% with you that losing a child is not something that should be trivialized.

2 things we need to take into account on the Butler interview.

    1. This is ESPN and they are known for asking what turns out to be a rather crass question for the time.

    2. This is a former teammate and an NFL player. These are not eloquent public speakers and should not be judged so harshly on how diplomatic they might come off as being. He might be a great guy or a total jerk, but he was put under the spot and seems to be being judged for only a couple off the cuff comments.

Like anything, everyone is entitled to an opinion and ours differ. One doesn’t have to be eloquent to be compassionate.

However saying Leroy and Paul Allen aren’t two peas in a pod is just silly. They are the same shock style homers. I don’t care for either of them.

Now, can we get back to the kicking the Pack is going to put on the Giants this weekend. While I would be tickled by a loss by the Pack, I really want to see a re-match with New Orleans. That should be a 56 – 52 game.

That and a possible matchup with New England in the SB would be very interesting games.

It should be an interesting playoff from here on out. Historically/Statistically, the offensive juggernauts don’t stand a chance if they have a poor defense(GB & NE). However, I think the NFL has screwed up the league so much taking the defense out of the game we will start to see a change. The Rogers/Breez of the world will be the future of the league. The Adrian Peterson’s will be a thing of the past.

Only time will tell. My gut says to back off the 24 point win to 17 by the Pack this weekend. Still a route.
