I can think of 1/4 of that number that wears a skirt you can have back. She was there only two days ago.

I seen that the night of the republican debates Jeremy, pretty cool. Plus the short wave radio was invented here, admiral Byrd used it to go to the north pole. Anyone wanna guess where the trampoline and continous gutter machine was invented plus the barcode for scanning anything. This isn’t meant for anyone in the upper midwest, we’ve got pretty good thoughts, its meant for the Malaki WeeWads who think they know and really don’t, like that moron professor…Just goes to show ya the sense in how an educated idiot thinks.

I guess I should have rephrased that. Is it really necessary for so many republicans to turn so many threads political?

I like Jake Johanson’s joke about being from Iowa.

“I grew up in Iowa and lived there until I was 21.

I didn’t know we were allowed to leave.”

Yes, bring something to do. Absolutely.

It is creepy hearing people from 10 states away stereotype you to the max. I’m gonna go sleep on my cornstalk mattress now.

I love Iowa..I love the midwest period..it’s human nature to take for granted what we have. loved my first train crossing, first deer sighting, first snowfall, first time on a cornfield..all so exotic and first catfish..that was first fish I ever caught here in Iowa and especially the people and friends I’ve met here

So true. We take so many things for granted. I am trying hard not to watch the tip of my fishing pole all evening and night when catfishing. Or to take a moment in between casts when casting lure to take a look around me. I think I do a better job than most looking around me and appreciating things, especially in nature, but I think I can do a better job.

They say when you die that your life passes before you, that’s why I am collecting moments and appreciating the things that are around me now. I don’t want to be bored when I recap my life.

Pal you should take a short drive just a bit north of here too the Anamsoa area, then go up river to Stone City and then to Waubeek, all are along the Wapsi river, very scenic and its only 1/2 hr drive from here. Iowa has quite a good history of trout fishing with alot of miles of stocked streams.

If you want to see some really pretty scenery go up hwy 13 to Strawberry point and go north from there through Clayton county, very pretty driveing the highway and the back roads, lots of springs and trout water, its very pretty in the fall too. Maybe visit the trout hatchery a couple miles east of Manchester, also on hwy 13 north, they have 12 to 15 lb brood stock there.
